OYAK’s Fundraising Investment

ATAER Mining, one of the OYAK companies, started to work in 2020 to implement the Iron Ore Enrichment and Pelletizing Facility to be established in Hasançelebi, Malatya, in order to utilize our domestic natural resources at the maximum level and bring them into the economy, and to keep the resources allocated for pellet import within the country.

With the facility to be established to create new resources, 65 percent of our country's iron ore production is planned to be realized. As Turkey's and OYAK's second and largest capacity iron ore pelletizing plant, studies are continuing to meet the iron ore needs of our country. With this investment, ATAER Mining aims to contribute to our country's economy by processing our country's rich underground resources in the most efficient way.

With the partnership of Ataer Mining and Japanese JFE Steel, the Enrichment and Pelletizing Plant, which is planned to be completed in approximately 55 months, is expected to reduce foreign dependency by 350 million dollars annually.
