Ataer Mining always adopts and implements its occupational health and safety commitments in order to carry out all its activities and projects in a healthy and safe manner, to ensure that the workplace buildings and facilities and project areas are in a healthy and safe condition by giving priority to occupational health and safety measures and requirements.

Ataer Mining undertakes;

• To provide working conditions that prioritize human and environment-oriented occupational health and safety,
• To comply with the national legislation on occupational health and safety and the requirements defined in national standards,
• To fulfill occupational health and safety requirements by taking international standards as a guide on issues not defined in national legislation and standards,
• To protect the health and safety of its employees, subcontractors, contractors, suppliers, visitors and local people in all work areas,
• To evaluate the risks related to hazards in the activities to be carried out, ensuring that appropriate and adequate measures are taken, primarily with the principle of struggle at the source, in order to eliminate the risks or to minimize their effects,
• To observe constantly the working environment and ensuring the development of a safe working environment by creating a safe working environment in all fields of activity and workplaces,
• To determine possible emergencies that have the potential to affect the health and safety of employees, work areas and the people of the region depending on the activities to be carried out, to take necessary measures and to create emergency action plans in order to minimize their effects,
• To provide the necessary budget and other resources for the establishment, implementation and development of the occupational health and safety management system in its fields of activity,
• To ensure that the basic, specific and technical trainings required for the increase of occupational health and safety knowledge of all employees and the development of their awareness are given regularly,
• To ensure continuous development of occupational health and safety culture at all levels of Ataer Mining’s management and to include all employees,
• To give priority to the use of safer work equipment whenever possible by following the technological developments,
• To ensure the preparation and implementation of occupational health and safety rules along with legal requirements in all fields of activity, monitoring of compliance with internal audits and rules, and development of rules,
• To ensure that the occupational health and safety policy is implemented by subcontractors, contractors and suppliers in the work areas they are responsible for.
